It is not a cake!

Hello! We are Chuhascaria Kibon, a restaurant specializing in churrasco and Brazilian cuisine located in Tokyo's new landmark, Shingura-dori CORE, a 6-minute walk from Shinbashi Station. At first glance, this dish looks like a cake, but it is a Brazilian dish called couscous. Some people may think of couscous as the world's smallest pasta, but in Brazil, it seems to have undergone its own unique changes and development and is now a completely different product. It may be that they just happen to share the same name. So what exactly is Brazilian couscous? Simply put, it is a dish made of corn flour and various other ingredients. Originally, it was a dish served at festivals in the state of São Paulo (couscous Paulista). It seems to be made mainly with seafood such as shrimp, but it looks more colorful and festive. I have no evidence to support this, but I think it may be similar to the mixed rice dish (chirashi-sushi) for the Dolls' Festival. Shuhaskaria Kibon is waiting for you in the Shinbashi and Toranomon area with our famous meat dishes.
